With Nature, Expect The Unexpected

Over the years, we have learned that nature is a very complex system and can offer unexpected results.

This year, we were surprised to find a "rouge" plant among the crops we planted this year. A beautiful pumpkin! A wonderful fall edition to our harvest has found its way into our garden and has grown into a beautiful orange delight. How did it get here? A wildlife resident? A dropped seed from a passerby?

This wonderful unexpected fruit should be perfect for a celebratory pumpkin pie.

Wild cucurbits are fun to find, but don't eat them! Save that one for some fall decorations.
